How to post a message in the guild.

I have learned that posting is kind of diffucult. I remember when I first joined a guild, my dear friend Caterat (you all remember her) had to show me how to post. Then as Im sending out Lost Angels letters, some of them were lost because they didnt know how to post. So here goes a little posting class. Im going to call it... Posting 101.

1. Click on the link that I added to the webbie. Or go to the home page of Neopian_Angels.

2. Under the picture of the blonde angel, there is a box called options. Click on the word messages.

3. While your at the messages, feel free to read what everyone is talking about, or go right to the "POST A MESSAGE" tab at the top of the page.

4. That will take you to a pretty blank page. Its a spot where you type your messages in. Whatever you do, make sure you add a subject, or your post wont go through and all that typing will be for nothing. When your done typing, click the "POST THIS MESSAGE" at the bottom of the page. :)

Birthday Celebrations

Every month, in the guild, there will be a birthday celebration. The party will celebrate everyone who has a birthday in that month. During the day of the party, there will be various games that happen on the guild message board - anyone can take part in these games, there will also be party bags given out through trades. The aim of the party is to have as much fun as possible! Birthday presents will be given out to the birthday people, as long as they fill the following criteria:

1.Must be an active participating angel in the guild.

2.Must have your birthday on the calendar before the birthday.

3.Must pick up trade within 7 days.

The birthday account is Birthday_Angel_2005 and is run by Gettingoldanddull. Please send queries to gettingoldanddull initially.

This website is currently just a page for guild business, however, it has the potential to grow into an amazing website with anything you want to know about the guild and Neopets. Unfortunatly, this cannot be done by one person, so i am looking for a team of people who will be willing to update the website with guild news and other sites of reference.

If you would like to help do this then please neomail hothedgehog with your current email address so you can become a blog member.

Don't worry about your skill with HTML. You need no knowlege of the website or how to code. Any information you need can be found on a very convenient page here.

The larger the team, the better the website.

Main Guild Rules

If you fail to obey the rules, you will be put under conduct probation!

We have a 3-strikes rule:
* 1st Offense: You will receive a warning about your behavior
* 2nd Offense: Temporary Suspension
* 3rd Offense: You will be permanently banned from the guild

While some may view this as a harsh punishment, we have to make certain that the guild is an enjoyable place for everyone! So please, read the rules, and obey the rules! Below you will find the rules for our guild.

Basic Guild Message Board Rules:

1. No spamming: This includes 1,2,3, & 4 word messages. Do not try to post messages just to get your rank up. Do not post messages that have no real meaning.

2. No trying out HTML, signatures, or smilies. There are boards on the main Neopets site that are specifically made to do this. The guild board is *not* for testing these things out.

3. Use neomail when talking back and forth to one member. If you and one other member are having a conversation just between the two of you, please take it to Neomail!

4. No posting email or messenger names.
5. No swearing or inapropriate language or topics.
6. Be nice and courteous to one another.
7. No asking for Items or Neopoints (in other words, no begging)
8. No advertising shops or trades unless it's to benefit another member.

* Helping with quests is wonderful!

How blogger works.

Blogger is a very easy to use website where you type what you want into the box and format it much as you would with microsoft word. This cuts out the need for having to know HTML code. So here are the steps you should take to posting your first post.

1) Go to blogger.com and create an account with them.
2) Neomail hothedgehog with your email address and answer the email you get in your inbox, so that you become a blog member.
3) Log into your account. On the next page you should see a list of your blogs. Click on the + button next to the Neopian_Angels guild website blog title.
4) You will then be taken to a page with 2 text boxes with titles next to them, on says title the other link. Below there should be a large text box with a tool bar.
5) Fill in the title for your post in the title text box, ignore the link box. Then type your message into the big box below.
6) Put any formatting onto your text that you would like. However, font size must be small and font face must be Georgia.

Please be considerate to people reading when you put your formatting. Bright pink fonts are hard to read, pick a different colour or just leave it black! Also, please try to make your writing as gramatically correct as possible. If you have problems with spelling then there is a spell check on the tool bar which you should use.

You may send in ONE of the items asked for each week. You can then save up your points until you see something in the shop you would like to purchase. Just neomail naps_angel and let her know what item you want and she will send you the item and deduct the points from your total.

Library Rules:

The library can be used two ways:

1. Trade me book for book!

2. Buy a book for 400 NPS.

Only active members of the guild may use the Library and a limit of 2 books a day apply.

Rules:

1. You must be a member of the guild for 30 days.

2. You must be an active member posting at least 30 messages during that time.

3. Consumable items will be provided at a discount when available. Donations are accepted.

4. Expensive items will require 50% collateral either in nps or items.

5. All transactions will be completed through the trading post and all items are to be returned upon obtaining the avatar.

Donations are always welcomed and will be put towards the purchase of rare items.

Pet Spotlight:
This is a spotlight award for a special pet of one of the guild members. If you want to enter watch the guild message board for an annoucement to say that nominations are being taken. Then nominate a pet you feel is worthy of winning the spotlight. On the first Saturday or Sunday of each month this will be awarded.

Better Than Vancgirl:
Each week Christmasbaby will chose one of her games scores and then post it on the guild message board. The guild members then have a week to try to beat this score. The first person to post their better game score on the message board will win the prize!

Guild Tosses:
Throughout the year the guild members will be tossing items at each other. Each toss is allocated a date and theme. When the date comes each person chooses an item they wish to toss at the other guild members. They may be inexpensive and the main reason is just to have fun!

Gallery Spotlight, Shop Spotlight, Lookup Spotlight, Pet Page Spotlight.
These are spotlights for the best lookups, shop layouts, petpages and galleries. Every month angelsdonationshop will announce that the spotlights will be annouced and that she is taking nominations for them. The guild members will then usually have about a week to nominate people or themselves for these spotlights. Angelsdonationshop will then announce the winners at the start of the month when the voting period is over.
